Chili Tomato Dip

This a tangy tomato dip that goes well with Egg Momo or other lightly spiced appetizers. It has Nepali and Indian touch in its taste.


  • Olive Oil – 2 Tsp
  • Tomato- 2(Medium)
  • Green Chillies- 4
  • Garlic Cloves- 5-6
  • Sugar- 2 Tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1 Tsp
  • Salt To taste
  • Vinegar- 1 Tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup- 1/2 Cup
  • Soy sauce- 2 Tbsp
  • Turmeric- 1 Tsp


  • Grill tomatoes in oven for 5mins. Peel out the skin. Allow it to cool.
  • Blend the peeled tomato & Garlic cloves.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add Olive Oil, tomato-garlic paste, Green Chilies, Turmeric, Red Chili Powder, Salt. cook on medium heat for 5-10mins stirring constantly.
  • Add Vinegar, Tomato ketchup, Soy sauce & sugar. Stir the sauce.
  • Turn off the heat and serve.
